I always enjoy coming to Obdach, as it holds personal significance with family history tied to the place. It used to be my grandfather's hunting ground and I use my visits here to relax. The area offers a vast hiking region around the Großer Winterleitensee with panoramic views. From the mountains, you can also catch a glimpse of the eastern part of Carinthia and in winter, it becomes a playground for freeriders.
